Covid19 Guidelines: What we follow at the TTC Academy to ensure safety

As India battles the second wave of Covid 19, we at the TTC Academy have prioritized the well-being of our faculty and students as well. The academy is temporarily shut down, but we do aim to resume once the Government grants us permission to do so. However, we aim to follow all protocols that we have had in place since the first wave in 2020. As a community that cares for its members more than anything, we understand the worries parents will have regarding the safety of their children in visiting the academy once the lockdown has been lifted. We request every parent to ensure they are vaccinated, and once it is allowed, to vaccinate their children as well at the earliest.

Having spoken to officials from the Government, health experts, doctors, and our resident fitness experts and coaches, we shall be introducing the following set of rules and regulations to ensure our students, teachers and members stay safe and sound.

1. Compulsory sanitization and temperature checks

It is the new normal and it is here to stay – sanitization of hands, external body parts, your cricket equipment, and regular temperature checks on entering and exiting our venue. Our team will ensure every single sanitization check is done before your child enters the venue and on leaving it.

2.Social distancing to be ensured

While cricket is a close-contact sport, we have installed special checks and measures to ensure their social distancing is adhered to inside the academy.

3. No sharing of equipment

To minimize risks, we have bought forward a no-sharing policy – no students or faculty members will be sharing their kits, gloves, bats, and so on. The training time will also be reduced by 10 minutes so our team can properly sanitize the courts and the equipment following every session/booking.

4. Thorough sanitization of our premises

In a bid to protect your child from the virus, we have complete sanitization processes in place – on our grounds, training nets, gyms and so on. The entire academy will be sanitized after a session/booking with minimal interference to those training/playing. Masks will also be made compulsory, as was the case after the first lockdown was lifted. Installation of the Aarogya Setu app will also be made compulsory. All of our team members will also be vaccinated as soon as slots are available to ensure maximum safety.

5. Reduction of booking volumes

In an effort to further prevent large gatherings and bottlenecks at the entry/exit points, only people with valid bookings and those who follow all the above 4 protocols will be given access to use the academy facilities. At all times, the academy reserves the right to remove anyone who is deemed to be violating anyone of these rules.

As sports enthusiasts and lovers of the game, it is our collective responsibility to ensure we all stay safe and derive joy from the game. We look forward to serving you with the utmost caution once the situation improves.

Till then, stay safe and take care!
